Living in Desert Southwest is one of a kind experience. Before moving here, I always thought this to be a desolate desert. As I discovered later on, spring in Sonoran desert can last as long as four months and everything during that time is loaded with life and abundance of color. Variety of blooming plants seen during this time is just fascinating. Cacti and succulents will surprise theviewer with colorful, unexpectedly gentle and breathtakingly gorgeous flowers that are well protected by sharp thorns. This spectacle of beauty seen this time of the year still fascinates me even after 15 years of living here in the desert Southwest. Here is the collection of images made with various techniques from the early 19th century from Cyanotypes to Salted paper prints.
